Physical intervention for door supervisor licence to practise

Security professionals have made Maybo physical intervention the most widely used approved training in the UK. By providing frontline staff with the skills for disengament, escorting and holding Maybo skills are now used in thousands of shops, clubs, events, hospitals and care homes around the UK. In addition to legislative requirements Maybo PI for security can offer modules on searching and additional holding.

After August 2010 new door supervisors will have to complete a module in escorting and disengagement to gain an SIA licence. The new module will be available from 1^st June 2010 and requires a level 2 qualification in physical intervention training for the private security industry for its completion.

Maybo trainers, who have the level 3 qualification in the Delivery of physical intervention training, will in most cases deliver the Maybo PI training programme in a one day course. The training meets the qualification requirements for the level 2 qualification of all SIA approved awarding bodies.
